From the Structure of Protons to the Structure of Proteins - Electron Accelerator-based Science

Jonathan M. Dorfan

Electron linear and circular accelerators have provided an enormously fruitful environment for frontier research in the diverse areas of particle physics, material science, environmental science, chemistry, and structural biology. The evolution of such accelerators will be presented, along with examples of the richness of their applications to various fields of science and the range of opportunities for the future.
