JSPS Washington Office co-hosted the Japan Medical Society of America (JMSA) New York Life Science Forum at NYU Langone Medical Center on April 8.
After the opening speech by JMSA President Yuzuru Anzai , MD, FACOG (NYU School of Medicine), Dr. Kohji Hirata, JSPS Washington office director gave a brief introduction to JSPS programs including the JSPS Bridge Award, a new grant which provides research visit funding for U.S. based Japanese researchers to go to Japan.
The audience enjoyed lectures given by 13 invited speakers.
After the forum, a poster session was held and “JMSA Anzai Award” and “JSPS Washington Director Award” were given to the remarkable presentations.
Attracting more than 330 participants, the forum ended in success due to the big effort of JMSA committee members.
The next JMSA New York Life Science Forum will be held in April 2018.
