2/24/2016_Info Session_The University of Oklahoma

JSPS Information Session was held on February 24th at The University of Oklahoma, Regents Room in the Oklahoma Memorial Union. The University of Oklahoma is well known for its research in meteorology, and they have held international Symposium on Earth-Science Challenges (ISEC) which is jointly organized by Kyoto University from September 20 to 23 in 2015.(You can see the detail from this page.) About 30 participants including graduate students, post-docs, and faculty members attended the event. In the Info Session, Prof. Robert D. 9/20-23/2015_The 4th International Symposium on Earth-Science Challenges (ISEC) [Norman, OK]

The 4th International Symposium on Earth-Science Challenges (ISEC) was held at University of Oklahoma (OU) from September 20 to 23. This symposium is jointly organized by Kyoto University and University of Oklahoma to discuss science and engineering of Meteorology and related topics and to promote Japan-U.S. cooperation in this field. The 4th symposium was dedicated Dr. Yoshi Sasaki, one of the founding fathers of Meteorology research at Oklahoma back in 1960s and has made significant contribution to Oklahoma in various ways, by inviting Japanese industries to Oklahoma for example and by bringing about a sister-city-agreement between Kyoto and Oklahoma, who passed away in May 2015.
