JSPS and Embassy of Japan in the United States of America joint info session organized by Morgan State University held online (March 8, 2023)

JSPS Washington Office and the Embassy of Japan in the United States of America jointly held an info session online for faculty members and students at Morgan State University on Wednesday, March 8^th, 2023. The session was organized by Dr. Kevin Bradley, Director of Graduate Professional Development, Morgan State University.

 JSPS Washington Office presented information on its fellowship programs. From the Embassy of Japan, Mr. Taichi Kaneshiro, Counsellor of Education, along with Ms. Margery Weidman, JET Program Coordinator, presented information on their respective scholarship programs. There was a special talk given by former JSPS Fellowship recipient, Dr. Samendra Sherchen. He gave an informative talk about his research work and life experiences in Japan.

 The audience was interested in the programs and asked various questions about studying, doing research, and life in Japan. There were about 40 participants made up of faculty, staff, and students from Morgan State University who joined the online meeting.
